Day 1 - Arrive early morning Delhi & Delhi - Haridwar and Rishikesh local and Rishikesh stay
It's very important to arrive early in the morning if you want to cover a spiritual tour of Haridwar and Rishikesh from Delhi on a single day because during peak time it takes more time to cover Haridwar and Rishikesh both on the same day due to rush. On arrival in Delhi drive to Haridwar first which is 4-5 hrs drive, Haridwar means door to god (Hari) it is also your first stop on your Chardham Pilgrimage tour from Delhi, On arrival in Haridwar take tip in Holy river ganges at Har-Ki- Pauri which is main ghat of Haridwar, also go for important temple darshan at Haridwar. Later proceed to Rishikesh which is 1 hour drive from Haridwar. In Rishikesh check-in to your pre-booked hotel and later go for walking tour of Rishikesh by visiting famous Ram and Laxman Jhula which is an iconic iron suspension bridges in Rishikesh across the holy river Ganges, Visit famous Ashram such as Parmarth Niketan Ashram, Sivananda Ashram and many more. In the evening participate in the famous Ganga aarti at Rishikesh.
Day 2 - Rishikesh to Barkot
This day post completing yatra registration formalities start your journey to Yamunotri dham first on your Chardham Yatra from Delhi, On the way to Barkot you may visit Mussoorie famous hill station of Uttarakhand. Barkot is in Uttarkashi district and the last big town near Yamunotri dham with a lot of hotel options and Rishikesh to Barkot distance is 170 kms and 5-6 hrs drive and its hill journey so don't forget to carry a puking bag and medicine for Headache and vomiting . On arrival check-in to your pre-booked hotel. Barkot city is situated on the bank of river Yamuna so in the evening you can go for a walk near to river Yamuna.
Day 3 - Barkot to Yamunotri Dham To Barkot
This morning start Journey towards Yamunotri dham by driving from Barkot to Janki Chatti which is 45kms and 2hrs drive and Janki Chatti is the place where motorable road ends from here you have to trek 6kms each way to reach Yamunotri dham. Janki Chatti is also famous for its hot spring. Pony, Palki and Dolly services are also available for Janki Chatti to Yamunotri if you don't want to trek. Yamunotri is the origin place for holy river Yamuna, on arrival go for darshan at main Yamunotri dham temple, the idol here is made of black marbles and dedicated to goddess Yamuna and was initially built in the 18th Century by Tehri Naresh Later reconstructed by queen of Jaipur in 19th century. Also visit Surya Kund famous for hot springs in which prashad is prepared and Divya Shilla which is rock in reddish-brown colour. After Yamunotri dham darshan the same way, Trek back to Janki Chatti and then drive back to your pre-booked hotel in Barkot. Post hectic day activities, relax at your hotels in Barkot.
Day 04 - Barkot to Harsil
Today starts your journey towards Gangotri Dham by driving from Barkot to Harshil which is situated 160kms and 6 hrs drive. Don't forget to stop midway for tea or snack break at Radi Top which is a viewpoint which offers a panoramic view of Ganga valley on one side and Yamuna valley on the other side. Harshil is a Village in Uttarkashi district and is on the way to Gangotri. Harsil is one of the unexplored and hidden gems of Discover Uttarakhand, Harshil is a very beautiful valley surrounded by huge Himalyan range, dense deodar jungle and situated on the bank of river Bhagirathi and you can see a lot of Apple Orchards near it. Harsil acts as a gateway for several Uttarakhand trekking tours. You may go to Mukhba Village just 1km from Harsil and is the abode of Goddess Ganga during winter time. On arrival check-in to the hotels in Harsil and evening free to enjoy the beauty of mother nature.
Day 05 - Harsil to Gangotri to Uttarkashi
This morning get ready for darshan of Gangotri Dham, drive from Harsil to Gangotri which is 25kms and 1hr drive. On arrival go for puja and darshan of Gangotri temple dham which is situated on the bank of holy river Bhagirathi and it was constructed in the 18th century by Nepali Gurkha General Amar Singh Thapa. River Ganga originates from Gaumukh of Gangotri glacier which is 19kms tough trek from Gangotri dham temple. Bhagirathi river originating from Gaumukh became river Ganga after meeting river Alanknanda at Devprayag. You can see submerged lord Shiva shivlinga on the rock where shiva received ganga in his matted lock during winter time at Gangotri dham. After Gangotri darshan drive to Uttarkashi which is 100kms and 3hrs drive. Later in the evening you may visit Kashi Vishwanath temple and other temples at Uttarkashi.
Day 06 - Uttarkashi to Guptkashi/ Sitapur (200kms/6-7hrs)
Today you will have to move to Guptkashi or Sitapur for darshan of the third and most famous dham Kedarnath. Sitapur is the nearest place from Gaurikund which is the starting point for trek to Kedarnath temple. Post a long road journey, take a rest at a pre-booked hotel Guptkashi or Sitapur. It's Suggestible if you are going for Kedarnath darshan by helicopter then stay at Guptkashi or Sitapur as per where your helipad is situated and which place is nearby because most of the hotels are at these places only.
Day 07 - Guptkashi/ Sitapur to Kedarnath temple to Guptkashi/ Sitapur
Today is very important day on your Chardham yatra journey, There is three way to reach Kedarnath temple at Kedarnath valley 1) Kedarnath Same day by Helicopter 2) Same Day darshan by pony 3) Trekking this one is toughest one and it takes minimum 02 days. For helicopters you can take a drop at your helipad in the morning and drop to the hotel post darshan and return to the helipad, Normally Kedarnath helicopter passengers get a VIP entry and have to return back to the helipad within 30-60 mins. For trekking or Pony ride you have to take a local Taxi from Sonmarg to Gaurikund from where the trek/pony journey starts. You can take a bath at the hot spring at Gaurikund. Gaurikund to Kedarnath temple is 16kms each side and Rambara is the midpoint for Kedarnath trek. It takes 4-5 hrs by pony each way and 7-8 hrs by trek reach. way. On arrival, go for the darshan of ancient Kedarnath temple dedicated to lord shiva, you will be amazed with the beauty of this temple and this temple is surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Post darshan, return back to your pre-booked hotel in Sitapur.
Day 08 - Guptkashi/ Sitapur to Badrinath (190kms-7-8hrs)
Today is also long day on your journey to reach Badrinath, its important to starts your journey early morning from Sitapur so that you can reach Badrinath by 6pm. Entire journey from Sitapur to Badrinath is a hill journey and you will cross several dense forests during the journey. You can stop midway for lunch and refreshments. Joshimath is the biggest city near Badrinath and it acts as a gateway for many famous trek and day trips from Joshimath. Badrinath temple town is on the bank of river Alaknanda. On arrival check-in to the hotel in Badrinath.
Day 09 - Badrinath temple darshan and Badrinath to Srinagar Via Rudraprayag
Early in the morning go for Badrinath temple darshan which is dedicated to lord Vishnu and it is one of the Chardham as per Hindu religion other three are Rameshwara, dwarka and Jagannath puri. It is advisable to first take a bath at Taptakund which is a hot spring in Badrinath and a few meters from Badrinath temple then go for Badrinath temple darshan. You may also visit Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa and Mana village which is the last Indian village at the Indo China border at Chamoli district, Post breakfast at hotel, checkout and drive to Srinagar on the way to visit the famous temple of Rudraprayag. Rudraprayag is one of the five sacred Prayags of Uttarakhand, Rudraprayag is the meeting point of Mandakini and Alaknanda rivers. On arrival check-in to a hotel in Srinagar.
Day 10 - Srinagar to Delhi Drop (340kms/8-9hrs)
This morning post breakfast, pack you bag with lot of unforgettable and lifelong memories of Spiritual Chardham yatra tour packages, check-out from hotel and drop to Delhi airport or railway station as per your return tickets, it's always advisable to book late evening journey from delhi to avoid any rush.
